PROBABLE CAUSE
1. Loose spindle/blade fasteners.
2. Blade interference with grass
buildup in deck.
3. Blades out of balance.
4. Blade(s) broken or worn badly.
5. Engine mounting bolts are
loose.
6. Engine/Idler/Blade pulley
loose.
7. Engine pulley damaged.
8. Failed spindle bearing.

4. Anti-scalp not set correctly. 4.
5. Grass buildup under deck.
6. Incorrect tire pressure.

CORRECTION
1. Retorque or replace as
necessary.
2. Clean the underside of the
deck.
3. Balance blades. See Blade
Maintenance on page 37.
4. Replace blades in set of three.
5. Tighten the engine mounting
bolts.

Sharpen or replace blades.
Install new blades.
