18. Connect pivot pin to speed selector arm.
See Speed Selector Adjustment on
page 22.
19. Install bottom cover.
20. Install wheels.
21. Return unit to upright position.
22. Install and connect batteries.
23. Adjust traction drive clutch. See Traction
Drive Clutch Adjustment on page 27.
SHORT TERM
Maintain battery charge.
IMPORTANT: Always keep battery charger
connected to batteries and a reliable power
source when Sno-Thro is not in use. Failure
to keep batteries fully charged will reduce
battery life and void battery warranty.
Run with attachment clutch engaged a few
minutes after each use to free unit of any
loose or melting snow.
Remove key from switch.
Inspect unit for visible signs of wear,
breakage or damage.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws properly
tightened and know unit is in safe working
condition.
Store unit in a cool, dry protected area.
LONG TERM
Follow all instructions under Short-Term
storage.
Clean unit thoroughly and lubricate (see
MAINTENANCE on page 18).
Touch up all scratched painted surfaces.
Remove weight from wheels by putting
blocks under frame or axle.
STORAGE
WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Read
and understand the entire Safety
section before proceeding.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE CORRECTION
Drive motor will not
run.
1. PTO switch in ON position
when key turned ON.
1. Turn PTO switch OFF before
turning key switch ON.
2. Traction or attachment
clutch levers engaged.
2. Release levers.
3. Discharged batteries. 3. Charge batteries (see Charging
the Batteries on page 15).
4. Disconnected batteries. 4. Connect both batteries to power
harness.
5. Faulty electrical system. 5. Contact your Ariens Dealer
6. Drive motor stops when
