TRANSPORT
ALWAYS move PTO and power switches to
OFF position and remove key when
transporting unit on a truck or trailer.
Use extra care when loading or unloading
unit onto trailer or truck.
Secure unit chassis to transport vehicle.
NEVER secure from rods or linkages that
could be damaged.
Ariens Dealers will provide any service or
adjustments which may be required to keep
your unit operating at peak efficiency.
SERVICE POSITION
Remove hair pin from chute crank and
remove chute crank arm. Remove both
batteries and place unit on a flat level surface
(see Removing and Installing Batteries on
page 22). Tip unit forward onto front of auger
housing for service. Ensure unit is secure and
will not tip over. Strap and clamp onto bench if
needed.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
The chart below shows the recommended
maintenance schedule that should be
performed on a regular basis. More frequent
service may be required.
* Batteries MUST be connected to battery
charger after every use, regardless of length
of time unit was operated. After batteries are
charged the battery charger must remain
connected until the next use. Failure to keep
batteries fully charged will reduce battery life
and void battery warranty.
CHECK DUAL HANDLE
INTERLOCK
Check operation of dual handle interlock. See
Dual Handle Interlock on page 13.
CHECK FASTENERS
Make sure all hardware is tightened properly.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Read
and understand the entire Safety
section before proceeding.
WARNING: Before tipping unit up
onto housing, both batteries must be
removed from the unit. Ensure unit is
secure and will not tip over during
maintenance.
