SERVICE POSITION
Place unit on a at level surface.
HANDLEBARS
Adjust upper handlebar by selecting alternate
holes for "J" Bolts.
Tighten handlebar knobs to secure upper
handlebar.
The upper handlebar can be folded for
storage.
TO ADJUST DISCHARGE CHUTE
If discharge chute rotates while throwing
snow, torque the four screws holding it to the
housing to 11-12 lbf-in (1.23-1.35 Nm). See
Figure 9.
IMPORTANT: Overtightening screws will strip
the screw holes.
1. Remove nut and bolt from rear of
discharge chute.
2. Tip discharge chute forward.
3. Tighten two rear screws.
4. Tighten two front screws.
5. Reposition discharge chute and fasten
with nut and bolt.
TO ADJUST DISCHARGE CHUTE
DEFLECTOR
If discharge chute deector does not stay in
set position during operation, adjust chute by
tightening fasteners evenly until deector
stays in position (Figure 10).
NOTE: Use a T30 Torx Drive or a 3/16 (5 mm)
wide Straight Screwdriver to tighten.
TO REPLACE THE DRIVE BELT
1. Remove fuel cap.
2. Remove cowl and replace fuel cap.
3. Disconnect extension spring on idler arm/
brake (Figure 11).
4. Remove cap screw and washer from end
of auger shaft and pull off auger drive
pulley.

CAUTION: Adjust auger control
cable after changing handlebar
height.
