following safety instructions could result in

serious injury or death.

WARNING: In order to prevent ac-

ci den tal starting when setting up, trans-

port ing, ad just ing or making repairs,

always dis con nect spark plug wire and

place wire where it can not come in contact

with plug.

constituents, and certain vehicle com po nents

WARNING: Battery posts, terminals and

related accessories contain lead and lead

CAUTION: Mufﬂ er and other engine

parts become extremely hot during

operation and remain hot after engine

has stopped. To avoid severe burns on

contact, stay away from these areas.

I. GENERAL OPERATION

• Read, understand, and follow all

in struc tions on the machine and in the

manual(s) before starting. Be thor ough ly

familiar with the controls and the proper

use of the machine before starting.

• Do not put hands or feet near or under

rotating parts. Keep clear of the dis-

charge opening at all times.

• Only allow responsible individuals, who

are familiar with the in struc tions, to oper-

ate the machine.

• Clear the area of objects such as rocks,

toys, wire, bones, sticks, etc., which

could be picked up and thrown by blade.

• Be sure the area is clear of other people

before mowing. Stop ma chine if anyone

enters the area.

• Do not operate the mower when bare-

foot or wearing open sandals. Al ways

wear substantial foot wear.

• Do not pull mower backwards unless

absolutely nec es sary. Always look down

and behind before and while moving

backwards.

• Never direct discharged material toward

anyone. Avoid discharging material

against a wall or obstruction. Material

may richochet back toward the operator.

Stop the blade when crossing gravel

surfaces.

• Do not operate the mower without

proper guards, plates, grass catcher or

oth er safety protective devices in place.

• See manufacturer’s instructions for prop-

er operation and installation of accesso-

ries. Only use accessories approved by

the manufacturer.

• Stop the blade(s) when crossing grav el

drives, walks, or roads.

• Stop the engine (motor) whenever you

leave the equip ment, before clean ing the

mower or unclogging the chute.

• Shut the engine (motor) off and wait until

the blade comes to complete stop before

removing grass catcher.

• Mow only in daylight or good artiﬁ cial

light.

Excepciones y Limitaciones

• Las baterías sólo se garantizan por un periodo de 12 meses a partir de la fecha de compra, en base

a prorrateo. Durante los primeros 90 días del periodo de garantía, se sustituirá una batería defectuosa

sin cargo alguno. Si el periodo aplicable de garantía supera los 90 días, Ariens asumirá el coste prorrateado

de cualquier batería defectuosa, hasta llegar a los 12 meses a partir de la fecha de la compra. Esta

garantía limitada para baterías no se aplica para bloques de baterías o productos serie AMP.

Exclusiones – Piezas no cubiertas por esta garantía

• Los motores y accesorios del motor están cubiertos sólo por la garantía del fabricante del motor, y no

están cubiertos por esta garantía.

• Las piezas que no son piezas originales de las marcas Ariens o Gravely no están cubiertas por esta

garantía.

• Las siguientes piezas de mantenimiento, servicio y recambio no están cubiertas por esta garantía a

menos que figure en la sección Limitaciones anterior: lubricantes, bujías, aceite, filtros de aceite, filtros

de aire, filtros de combustible, guarniciones de frenos, palancas del freno, zapatas, guías, cuchillas

raspadoras, pernos de seguridad, cuchillas del cortacésped, aspas del cortacésped, brazos, escobillas,

faros delanteros, bombillas, cuchillos, cuchillas.

• Cualquier defecto que sea resultado del uso indebido, alteración, montaje incorrecto, negligencia

o accidente que requiera reparación, no está cubierto por esta garantía.

• Esta garantía sólo aplica a productos adquiridos en Estados Unidos (incluyendo Puerto Rico) y Canadá.

En el resto de países, póngase en contacto con el punto de compra para obtener información sobre

la garantía.

Renuncia

Ariens puede modificar con cierta frecuencia el diseño de sus productos. Nada incluido en esta garantía se

interpretará de tal modo que obligue a Ariens Company a incorporar tales cambios de diseño en los productos

fabricados previamente, ni se interpretarán tales cambios como una admisión de que tales diseños eran

defectuosos.

LIMITACIÓN DE REMEDIOS Y DAÑOS

La responsabilidad de Ariens Company bajo esta garantía y bajo cualquier garantía implícita que pueda existir

se limita a la reparación o sustitución de cualquier defecto de fabricación, y a la reparación o sustitución

de cualquier pieza defectuosa. No podrá hacerse responsable a Ariens Company de ningún daño fortuito,
