72061 Drive Belt Breaking. 72061 Glass cord belt not

recommended for winter use.

Replace with 72072 drive belt.

Gear Case failure.

Rakes frozen to shaft, due to

lack of lubrication. Rake tube

out of round.

Pinion shaft too soft, or too

hard.

Free shafts,

Repair gear case.

Ream rake tube, grease and

replace rakes.

Replace pinion shaft.

Jaw couplings breaking

through.

Improper heat treating. Replace.

Noisy jaw couplings. Out of alignment.

Re-align by adjusting tabs on

attachment of file slots in low

er brackets that hook on cross

rod.

Blower fan bending.

Flard snow, or ice, gravel,

stones.

Straighten or replace with new

style 10178 fan.
