The Ariens Company has received field reports of poor clutch belt alignment on the above Ariens and

Gravely Sno-Thrower Attachment for XL series riding mowers. This can result in the clutch belt coming off

while operating the snow thrower attachment. To eliminate possible belt issues, dealers must install the

new Sub-Frame Top Plate (04446351) for proper unit performance.

Dealers may also install the Top Plate on attachments with serial number 000147 and lower to improve belt

alignment.

On units with serial number 000180 and higher, the new plate will be standard. New plates are identified by

the word "TOP" laser cut into the plate.

Top plate installation is covered under warranty while the 815034 attachment is within the warranty period.

Dealers will be reimbursed .75 hours at their standard posted shop labor rate.
